Astro Boy

Somewhat reminiscent of Wall-E, Astro Boy is a nice animation movie for both kids and grown ups. A classy animation and a good story did help this movie look better than most other animated movies.. One failed attempt that I still remember was "Bolt". Thank god, there is something for the kids in a form they can enjoy.

Well, if it has THE -- Monica Bellucci, it must be worth watching. I had heard a lot about this movie and thankfully almost all of it was delivered. Probably, it was created to showcase Monica Bellucci only. And probably nobody else could have made it as spectacular as she did. Believe me, its mouth watering, it might even make you sweat and if you are alone and a boy too, you are going to do something thats nasty.. ;)

I can't speak more about it. But boys, its a full entertainment.

My Name is Khan

Its a lovely movie by Karan Johar but that as***** still missed the potential of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. (Or Shahrukh has become too rigid to break his own style). Kajol is as usual fresh and lovely. Whereas the direction was of some good quality I still found certain scenes which kept the movie below the mark. Nonetheless, this one is certainly worth watching.

Somehow I liked it and it wasn't that interesting also. It was about the cool nature of the guy who is already a "dude". And with his calmness and carefree nature he is living his life with no grudges etc..

Thats a good viewpoint to have a look at and think at least.

A very good movie .. with lots of positiveness.. and revolves around the insatiable sexuality of an adult woman.. She finds that what she wants is not what is generally called love but she finds that she can get satisfaction only through sex, sex, and more sex.. with anybody anywhere..

Then how this feeling leads her to various places including brothels, pain etc. is what the movie shows.

He wanted to be a hockey player but for his grandmother ends up being a golfer and that to top notch.. winning a gold jacket as they say.

A totally cool movie, especially for the married guys, they will understand it better than the free ones. :)
I had just seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall featuring "Jason Segel" and liked that too, and enjoyed the guy. A wonderful and rather delightful depiction of the problems that arise when anybody's wife would think that you enjoy the company of your friend more than her's..
Even though you enjoy both the companies, the problem arises as soon as the enjoyment you get from your friend equals that of what you get from your wife.. And this is what this movie shows.. and does succeed well in it.

A typical Al Pacino movie..
There somthing mysterious about Al Pacino that whichever movie he has starred in, to me, nobody else outshines him.. I love his style..
And "Scent of Women" was the best movie that I like from his filmography, besides Godfather of course.
In scarface also Al Pacino rules.. except may be Michelle Pfieffer who was looking gorgeous.. and given those times its no doubt this was box office bomb type of movie.

I liked the movie more for the teen sex appeal of "Sarah Roemer" than the boy "Shia LaBeouf" who also starred in the "Transformers", "Eagle Eye" and has a somewhat stereotypical acting profile. "Carrie-Anne Moss" of "Matrix" fame was even sexier as a divorced wife..

Well overall an average thriller but nicely shot, and some good teenage
romance.

I would have given it an 8/10 but I think I'll stick to
7/10.

One of the fundoo movies.. it was really enjoyable though I cudn't see it twice.. Nicely made.. The best scene was the "Creation of the Anti-Matter" sequence.
Nevertheless it scored 7/10.

The Machinist

THis movie showed me that the "Batman" hero Christian Bale can act very nicely besides being good in action sequences. I was amazed by how well was the charater enacted by him.. too emaciated and almost dead.. mainly because of a mistake he made in the past that took him far from reality. "If you were a little thinner, you woudn't exist." was a good dialogue in it to describe how thin he was in this movie..

However, its the story, direction and the actor that made this movie really promising. I liked it, more because of the fact i had no previous information about this one.. no story, no reviews..

What a brilliant performance from the young cast of this movie. Its not acting, its the real performance. Both the characters of "Johnny Mad Dog" and "No Good Advice" were amazing. And "No Good Advice" had been brilliant throughout the movie.
I would give both of them a 8* rating for their naive and genuine performance. And a lot of applause to the director also .. there were many scenes in the movie that were just superb (i liked the scene most when one of the girl of Johnny dies and the "No Good Advice" is dancing outside unaware of all this.)
Well not a must watch for everybody but for those very few who would not stop and wait.
