Flawless (2007) IMDB
I had this movie for a long time but wasn't just able to watch it because a lot of titles were already lined up in my list of movies-to-watch. Finally, I saw it yesterday and that too with no previous notions about the movie. Strangely, it came out to be one of those good movies that you can recommend somebody to watch. All along the movie there was no clutter and nothing was overdone which made this movie a fine one.
The story was good and engrossing, as I saw it along I wasn't feeling bored or wasting 2 hrs of my life. Demi Moore was good but Michael Caine was even better in performance. The story is about Demi who had been frustrated for not getting her long-expected promotion and Caine who had been cheated by the Insurance company long ago. They both wanted a certain amount of redemption and so join hands together and this unfolds into this beautiful story.
What is most brilliant in the story is that it doesn't include a lot of people to carry out Caine's plot nor was there any gadgetry like in many recent films. Simple, clean and logical thievery is what it is, with no gun shots heard in the entire movie. This improved the status of this film profoundly.
However, some flaws were visible in the film/story, first one is the comlpetely unconvincing make-up of Demi Moore as the old lady (thankfully those scenes weren't long enough) and the second one is the imprudent behavior of Demi's character when she wants to talk and ask questions to Caine's character almost anywhere within the Lon Di's building/complex (location of the theft). But may be that was a necessary event for the story to progress.
Overall, you would certainly enjoy the movie, at least i could enjoy and keep myself seated for the duration of the movie.
8/10.
